Trump Urges Alabama Graduates to “Never Give Up,” Slams Biden and Judges on Immigration

May 3, 2025 – Former U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a fiery and motivational commencement speech at the University of Alabama, urging graduates to persevere through challenges while also taking the opportunity to criticize the Biden administration and the judiciary.

Speaking before thousands of students and families, Trump said:

🗣️ “Never give up. Never quit. Never stop dreaming. And never, ever stop fighting for what you know is right.”

The former president received enthusiastic applause as he encouraged the graduating class to be bold and resilient in an increasingly uncertain world.

However, the speech quickly turned political, as Trump pivoted to critique current U.S. leadership. He slammed President Joe Biden over what he described as a “weak” immigration policy and criticized federal judges who have blocked portions of Trump’s proposed immigration agenda in recent months.

“Our borders are being overrun, and we’re not allowed to fix it. Why? Because activist judges and a do-nothing administration are standing in the way,” Trump said.

The remarks come amid growing tension over immigration enforcement policies as Trump campaigns for a possible return to the White House in 2024.

A Dual Message: Inspiration & Politics

Trump’s address blended motivational themes with political messaging, a strategy he has frequently used at rallies and public events. While graduates were encouraged to take charge of their futures, the speech also served as a platform to energize Trump’s base ahead of a highly anticipated election season.
