Blake Lively Breaks Silence on Justin Baldoni Lawsuit in First TV Interview

Blake Lively Opens Up About Legal Battle with Justin Baldoni in First TV Interview

May 3, 2025

In her first television interview since initiating legal action against her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively appeared on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” to discuss the emotional toll of the past year. The 37-year-old actress described the year as one filled with “highest highs and lowest lows,” emphasizing the fear that often silences women from speaking out.

Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment and a coordinated smear campaign that adversely affected her career and family. Baldoni has denied these claims and filed a $400 million countersuit for defamation and extortion against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. A trial is set for March 9, 2026.

During the interview, Lively refrained from detailing the ongoing legal proceedings but highlighted the importance of speaking up for those who cannot. She credited the courage of other women for giving her the strength to use her voice.

Lively also shared insights into her family life, describing her four children as her emotional anchor during challenging times. She humorously noted that her 2-year-old son, Olin, is affectionate and romantic, contrasting with her daughters’ more outspoken personalities.

The actress is currently promoting her new film, “Another Simple Favor,” a sequel to the 2018 movie “A Simple Favor,” co-starring Anna Kendrick and directed by Paul Feig. Feig has publicly defended Lively amid the legal dispute, criticizing online attacks against her and praising her professionalism
